What our clients say

What we do

New ceiling fan installation. Bedrooms, living areas and outdoor patios, with the ceiling checked for support and new cabling, conduit or timber blocking added where needed.

Replacement. Old, noisy or wobbling fans swapped for modern DC fans with whisper-quiet motors and remote control.

Repairs. Wobble, buzzing, faulty controls and dead speeds diagnosed and fixed where it makes sense, saving the cost of a replacement.

Controls. Wall controllers, remotes and smart control set up so the fan is easy to use from the bed or the couch.

Why customers use us for ceiling fans

  • The right fan for the room. Indoor or outdoor rated, blade size for the room, DC for silence and efficiency. We recommend before you buy.
  • Beacon Lighting trade pricing. Through our partnership, clients can visit the Beacon Lighting showroom, choose a fan that suits the room, and take advantage of our trade discount.
  • Installed safely. Ceiling support, wiring and switching are checked and made right, which is where DIY and cheap installs go wrong.
  • Fixed-price quotes. Clear cost including any extra wiring or supports, no surprises on the day.
  • Licensed and insured. REC 25761, with a lifetime workmanship warranty.

How it works

  1. Book. Tell us the rooms, ceiling heights and whether you have chosen fans or would like recommendations.
  2. Installation. Fan mounted to a checked support, wired, balanced and tested; controls set up and demonstrated.
  3. Handover. How to operate and clean the fan, and what to do after a power outage if it has a remote.

What affects the cost

The fan itself, the number of fans, the control type (remote, wall switch or smart), ceiling height, and whether new cabling, a new circuit or extra ceiling support is needed. Replacing an existing fan on the same wiring is the simplest job; a fan where there was only a light, or on a high or raked ceiling, takes more. We quote it up front either way.

Common questions

Common questions

Can a ceiling fan be installed where there is only a light?
Usually, yes. The wiring is adapted and a support fitted for the fan’s weight; many fans come with a light so nothing is lost.

DC or AC ceiling fan?
DC fans are quieter, use far less power and come with remotes as standard. For most bedrooms and living areas they are the better choice.

Why does my ceiling fan wobble?
Blade imbalance, a loose mount or a worn motor bearing. The first two are repairable on the spot; a worn motor usually means a replacement.

Can I supply my own fan?
Yes. Bring it or have it delivered, and we install it. We will say beforehand if the fan is not suited to the location, for example an indoor fan on an open patio.
